Phoenix is well positioned as the fifth largest metro in the country, with a healthy mix of dated and new inventory and land for new development throughout the valley. With strong local employment, including a large public university, the Phoenix metro is incredibly diverse, attracting a breadth of residents from all over the country. An attractive alternative to many other Western cities, the Phoenix metro draws JAB’s target demographic from many other cities around the country.
Salt Lake City has a healthy mix of existing inventory in need of renovation, Class A buildings, and land prime for development. The city’s local government is pro-business and pro-development. Numerous multinational employers in health care, tech and banking, have headquarters or large offices in Salt Lake City, drawing JAB’s target demographics.
We select cities that offer the proper balance of demographics and community features. We look for in-demand neighborhoods with a shortage of upscale, life-style focused apartment offerings.
We target city neighborhoods that foster lifestyle living. These neighborhoods offer good public transportation, a varied and active nightlife, dining options, cultural attractions, and access to boutiques, national retailers and grocery stores — all within walking distance.
Young urbanites remain single longer than the previous generation and spend a greater percentage of their income on housing. They have children later, live additional years in the city and enjoy the benefits of proximity and diversity.
